The Troopers Election Committee (TEC) is an autonomous body within Project Troopers responsible for conducting elections to the Arbitration Committee (ArbCom) and the Board of Directors. It is abbreviated as TEC and is governed by the Election Committee Rules and Regulations Act, 2024 (TECRR 2024). The TEC operates as part of the Troopers Knowledge Hub and is tasked with carrying out voting procedures, enforcing a Model Code of Conduct during elections, and verifying candidate eligibility for participation in various elections within the project.
Conducting Elections: It is the only authorized body to conduct elections to the Arbitration Committee (ArbCom) and the Board of Directors.
Enforcement of Conduct: It has the power to enforce a Model Code of Conduct during the elections.
Candidate Vetting: It is responsible for individually vetting and verifying the eligibility of candidates wishing to participate in any election.
Oversight on the Board: It can observe the workings of the Board by appointing a liaison to monitor their internal proceedings.
